Impressions of Past Activities

Visit to the Austrian Mint

On March 19, 2025, we visited the Austrian Mint and gained fascinating insights into the production of various coins – from high-quality gold coins to everyday cents; from melting materials to quality control.

Excursion to Italian Collections

From February 26 to March 2, 2025, we went on an excursion to Florence, Padua, and Verona. In Padua, Dr. Vettorato gave us an expert guided tour of the Museo Bottacin, while in Verona, Dr. Arzone presented selected pieces from the collection of the Museo di Castelvecchio.

The Coin Collection of Klosterneuburg Abbey

On November 29, 2024, we visited Klosterneuburg Abbey, where Prof. Edith Specht introduced us to the abbey's coin collection.

The Medallist Rudolf Schmidt (1894–1980)

On October 25, 2024, we had the opportunity to view the private collection of Eleonore Strebl, featuring numerous works by sculptor and medallist Rudolf Schmidt (1894–1980). We also visited the Mödling Museum, which hosts an exhibition on cap badges.
